Moving Violation Citation Withdrawn for Grandfather

Sep 22 2015, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Criminal Defense, Legal Blog, Traffic Defense

A grandfather was taking his grandson around on Halloween when he got into a minor fender bender. He was charged with improper backing up a vehicle. Before he contacted Pennsylvania criminal defense lawyer Michael Fienman, the man immediately paid his ticket to the court – an automatic admission of guilt to the traffic offense. As a result, three points were added to the man’s PennDOT record.

Wanting to maintain a clean driving record, attorney Michael Fienman filed an appeal on his behalf. After negotiating with the prosecutor at the appeal hearing, the citation was withdrawn, the points were removed from his record and the fine Fienman’s client initially paid to the court was refunded.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
