Montgomery County treats probation violations very seriously, especially if the conduct in question was similar to your original offense. Recently, a prior client of Fienman Defense was rearrested for heroin possession and paraphernalia while on probation for the same thing. Because he was on probation, this would typically mean staying in custody for at least three months before you are even seen by a judge to address the matter.
Attorney Michael Fienman used his extensive network of relationships with courthouse staff and administrators to arrange for his client to have an expedited hearing. At this appearance, attorney Fienman facilitated for his client to be transferred to an inpatient rehab center in lieu of serving time in jail. Once his client completed his treatment, he repapered in court on his behalf and negotiated for the new charges to be addressed with credit for time served. Due to his zealous attention, a client who would otherwise be subjected to a lengthy jail term got the treatment he needed instead and was spared from more time in custody.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
