In Philadelphia, a pharmacology student at Temple University was recently charged with retail theft after being accused of shoplifting a handbag from a local department store. The young lady knew that upon graduation, she would have a lot of difficulty becoming a licensed pharmacist with a theft conviction on her record, so she began looking for experienced legal counsel for help, and chose the Philadelphia criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman to fight the shoplifting charge against her.

Because of attorney Michael Fienman’s comprehensive criminal justice experience, he was able to discuss alternatives with the prosecutor and negotiated to have the charge amended to disorderly conduct instead of retail theft. Additionally, attorney Fienman argued aggressively on behalf of his client in court, which led to her being found not guilty of the reduced disorderly conduct charge. Under Fienman’s legal direction and after the charges were expunged from her record, this young woman will be able to finish school without a conviction hindering her professional licensure or job search.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
