Diversion & Dismissal for Temple Student Arrested for Underage Drinking

Feb 12 2020, by Michael Fienman in Alcohol, Case Results, Criminal Defense, Disorderly Conduct

Not long ago, we assisted a freshman Temple university student charged with underage drinking after leaving his house holding a case of beer. The young man was in the process of applying for internships and certainly did not want a criminal record hurting his chances. Attorney Fienman handled the entire process and had the young man admitted to a summary diversion program.

This let him deal with the matter quickly, and after completing a Saturday morning class and paying a small fine, the charge will be dismissed. Additionally, attorney Fienman will file an expedited expungement request to have the incident completely sealed from view. This will let the young man apply for internships and jobs without fear of a conviction showing up on his background check.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
