Domestic Violence Charges Dismissal Due to Alleged Victim’s Cooperation

A woman recently contacted Philadelphia defense attorney Michael Fienman when her fiancé was charged with various domestic violence – related crimes after the two were involved in an altercation. Among the charges was a serious felony for aggravated assault simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Based on the charges and the man’s prior record, the woman’s fiancé was looking at significant time behind bars despite her desire not to participate in his prosecution.

Attorney Michael Fienman appeared on her behalf at the preliminary hearing, discussed the matter with all those involved, and helped position the case for the benefit of her fiancé. By coordinating efforts, attorney Fienman effectively worked with the accused’s counsel to express his own client’s wishes and facilitated the dismissal of all the charges on the condition that the accused participate in some anger management and therapy courses.
