Expungement Granted for a Temple Student’s Past Charges

Aug 31 2016, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Criminal Defense, Theft

Living with a criminal record can obviously cause a lot of hardships, both personally and professionally, especially for a person just starting out in life. Such was the case for a pharmacology student from Temple University, who previously dealt with retail theft charges after being accused of shoplifting. While under Philadelphia defense attorney Michael Fienman’s direction, her retail theft charge was reduced to disorderly conduct which was subsequently dismissed by the court. However, she did not want to pursue a career as a pharmacist with this incident on her record. She knew that she needed a skilled attorney to navigate the expungement process, so she again reached out to Michael Fienman.

With the goal of removing this charge, attorney Fienman completed the necessary steps and filed the expungement petition with the court to erase his client’s past transgression. When the process was finalized and approved, his client’s criminal record was wiped clean and the young woman was relieved to move on without fear of this holding her back.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
