A 50-year-old man was recently stopped in Montgomery County and charged with illegal turn, a summary offense in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His case went to Montgomery County MDJ 38-1-22. The man allegedly failed to stop for a red signal before proceeding to turn right, which is considered to be running a red light. He hired Philadelphia traffic lawyer Michael Fienman to represent him on this matter and to avoid the potential consequences of a traffic infraction on his record.

Michael attended two court dates on the client’s behalf. The police officer who charged the client refused to negotiate at the first court hearing, so Michael requested another court date for a protracted trial. He was able to negotiate the case so the client plead guilty to 3111(a) – a zero-point failure to obey traffic control device charge. This is a favorable result and the client was happy because this meant no points on his driving record. The client owed a small fine to the court but no other penalties.
