Man Enrolled In ARD After A Second Offense

Oct 13 2016, by Michael Fienman in Alcohol, Case Results, Criminal Defense, DUI

Not long ago, a man was at a house party at Shippensburg University, but reportedly had too much to drink and incoherently left the house. Eventually, police found the young man and due to his intoxicated condition, charged him with public drunkenness. In an effort to properly handle this situation, he contacted Pennsylvania criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman, who was able to effectively negotiate for his client and achieved a dismissal as well as a subsequent expungement.

Some time later, but prior to the finalization of his expungement, this client found himself in more legal trouble when he was pulled over and charged with a DUI and possession of marijuana. Now that he was faced with much more serious consequences than his prior situation, including a one-year license suspension, considerable fines, and criminal convictions for drug possession and DUI, he again contacted attorney Fienman for help.

With a wealth of knowledge in Pennsylvania DUI and criminal court procedures, attorney Fienman was able to enroll his client into the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) program. This is a remarkable outcome considering that ARD is a diversion program usually limited to first-time offenders, and this young man may have normally been disqualified due to his earlier infraction. However, because of attorney Fienman’s keen representation, after his client completes the program, he will be able to easily move on with his life
