Military Academy Student Sees Juvenile Assault Charge Dismissed

Jan 20 2017, by Michael Fienman in Assault & Domestic Violence, Case Results, Juvenile Crimes

Philadelphia criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman will be the first to say that while youthful mistakes are inevitable, the impact from some serious situations can lead to life-long ramifications. For example, a student at a Pennsylvania military academy, with aspirations of a military career found himself in a difficult situation after a schoolyard altercation with another student. Due to the severity of the other student’s injuries and the school’s policy to inform the police, this young man now faced criminal charges and an ugly mark on his record that would likely preclude him from achieving some of his life goals. To avoid this juvenile assault charge from becoming a colossal limitation, the student and his family decided to consult with a skilled legal professional with experience handling juvenile matters.

By utilizing his comprehensive understanding of the Pennsylvania Juvenile court system, attorney Fienman negotiated with all the parties involved and facilitated an arrangement that alleviated his client’s concerns. Ultimately, the young man’s charge was dismissed. This, in turn, will allow his client the opportunity to file for an expungement to permanently remove the incident from his record, so his future would not be unnecessarily hindered.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
