A 29-year-old woman was allegedly traveling 80 mph on the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) and driving on a license that was suspended for medical reasons. As a Delaware resident, she would have received five points on her driving record plus an additional one-year driver’s license suspension if found guilty.

She hired Philadelphia traffic lawyer Mike Fienman to represent her since she lived out-of-state. He negotiated an amendment of the charges. The speed citation was reduced to a zero-point, non-moving violation that will not have any negative impact on her driving record. The suspended license citation was also amended to a non-moving violation with no further impact on the driving record. Ultimately, the woman paid court costs and fines of approximately $225, which was significantly less than what the citations would have been had she plead guilty.
