Rape Allegations Result in No Criminal Charges

Oct 20 2021, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Sex Crimes

An area college student was accused of rape after having intercourse with a classmate. Because the issue involved a college campus, it was a Title IX matter.

The student tapped Mr. Fienman early in his case, and this early involvement afforded a better opportunity to prevent charges and avoid harsh penalties.

Fienman was able to prevent his client from being criminally charged for sex crimes. Although the man did leave school, the Title IX matter was closed, and there will be no adverse reporting on his transcript when he applies to enroll at a new institution.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
