Reckless Driving Charge Reduced For Man In Road Rage Case

Mar 03 2016, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Traffic Defense

Delco criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman recently represented a man from Springfield Township after he was allegedly involved in a road rage incident. The man, a mechanic in the area, received a citation for reckless driving after allegedly following too closely behind a slow elderly couple. Impatient with the rate of speed at which they were driving, the man was accused of screaming and gesturing obscenities. As a result of the incident, it was also alleged that our client tapped the bumper of the elderly couple’s car, causing them a great deal of emotional distress.

Under Fienman’s careful negotiations, a favorable plea was reached, reducing the reckless driving charge to careless driving. This three point offense and small fine now spared our client a fine of approximately $500, five points on his record and a mandatory license suspension.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
