South Philly Solicitation Charge Eligible For Expungement After AMP

Jul 18 2016, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Criminal Defense, Sex Crimes

Recently, a man was driving through South Philadelphia and became entangled in a very embarrassing and legally compromising position when he allegedly propositioned an undercover police officer. This resulted in being charged with soliciting a prostitute, which was very concerning due to the potential fallout a solicitation conviction could have on his career and reputation. The man knew that he needed discrete and skillful legal representation to address this solicitation charge, so he called upon Philadelphia criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman.

As an experienced criminal defense attorney, Michael Fienman understood his client’s fears and immediately began handling the case in the most subtle manner possible. In order to reduce the man’s exposure and handle the charges against him, Fienman successfully arranged to enroll his client in the Accelerated Misdemeanor Program (AMP), which is a diversion program aimed at educating offenders about the dangers of prostitution. After this condition is met, his solicitation charge will become eligible for expungement and can be removed from his record. The client was very pleased to privately handle this matter, saving his criminal record and reputation from unnecessary harm.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
