Excessive Speeding on 476 Reduced to 10 Over

Apr 10 2019, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Traffic Defense

Not long ago, an individual was pulled over and ticketed for going 31 miles over the speed limit on 476 North on the PA Turnpike’s Northeast Extension. The man was ticketed by a regular fixture, Corporal Barr, a supervising Pennsylvania State Trooper with a well-earned reputation for strict traffic enforcement in the area.

As an excessive speeding ticket, the man was facing five points on his license, a PennDOT hearing, and likely suspension, not to mention higher insurance premiums. To fight the ticket in Red Hill, PA, he contacted traffic lawyer Michael Fienman, and by negotiating with the corporal, Fienman arranged to have the excessive speeding ticket reduced to 10 mph over the limit. This only meant two points, no administrative (PennDOT) hearing, and significantly less of an impact on his driving record.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
