After a young man was caught up in a road rage incident that ended with a gun being brandished on the Walt Whitman Bridge, he faced serious criminal charges that could have followed him for the rest of his life. The client made the mistake of speaking with police before retaining a lawyer, but Fienman knew of a strategy to protect his client’s future.
After conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and the other driver involved, Fienman strategically scheduled hearings that made it difficult for the other party to appear and defend themselves. He also presented evidence raising doubt about the witness’s ability to correctly identify his client, even requesting a lineup. Before the lineup could take place, the prosecution admitted it was unprepared to move forward, and the case was dismissed and later expunged from the client’s record.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
