NJ Driver Avoids Consequences for 2016 PA Traffic Violations

Jul 23 2018, by Michael Fienman in Case Results, Traffic Defense

Sometimes people go through their lives without realizing that significant criminal or traffic charges are hanging over their heads. If this occurs, it is imperative to discuss your options and find a path forward with help from an experienced criminal defense attorney.

For example, in 2016, a NJ driver was pulled over on the PA Turnpike’s Northeast Extension for driving 23 miles over the limit and driving on a suspended license. This was an open Pennsylvania traffic violation and the individual never properly addressed the matter because it hadn’t yet impacted his NJ license. However, the violations eventually went into warrant status, and thereafter he was stopped by an officer in NJ. That office made him aware of his status as a wanted individual in PA. Fearful that his license and criminal record were now in jeopardy, he contacted attorney Fienman.

As a highly-skilled traffic lawyer with experience in NJ and PA, Michael Fienman took the man’s case. He first advised his client on how to have the warrants lifted and restore his driver’s license. Now, with a valid license, Fienman negotiated with the PA State Police to withdrawal the suspended citation and reduce the speeding infraction to a no-point violation. Because the Pennsylvania matter appropriately and permanently resolved, there were no adverse consequences to his NJ driving record.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
