Reduced Charge For Woman In Philadelphia Traffic Case

Feb 09 2016, by Michael Fienman in Traffic Defense

A Philadelphia traffic case recently came to the attention of criminal defense attorney Michael Fienman when a 32-year-old registered nurse was pulled over while driving south on I-95 during her rush-hour commute.

Our client was facing a conviction for both driving in the far left-hand lane and following too closely behind another vehicle. Under Pennsylvania law, it is illegal to drive in the far left lane when the right lane is free. As a result, our client was charged. Fienman went to Philadelphia Municipal Court’s Traffic Division where he advocated on behalf of his client. After intense rounds of negotiations with the State Police, our client pled guilty to a non-moving violation and received a lesser offense with zero traffic points and a small fine. The second traffic ticket was withdrawn.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
