Attorney Fienman represented a nurse who had not renewed his nursing registration for four years, mistakenly believing his employer was handling the renewals. Upon discovering the oversight, the client promptly renewed his registration and paid all outstanding fees for the past four years. Despite this, the nursing board filed an Order to Show Cause against him for practicing without a valid license during that period.
For a year and a half, Attorney Fienman diligently represented his client. The case proceeded to a full hearing, where Attorney Fienman successfully argued on his client’s behalf.
As a result, the client was only required to pay a $1,200 fine, and his nursing license was not revoked.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
